Apartment Review from a Current Renter

The apartment building has great potential however the reliability of the amenities continue to disappoint for the amount of money paid in my rent for those services.

This apartment complex has gone downhill in the short time I’ve lived here. Dig feces in the elevator and stairwell. Garbage overflowing in the shoot. Missed mail.

The place has definitely degraded over the years. I am very dissatisfied with how pets are handled in the building. I am an animal lover but some tenants that own pets are very disrespectful at the expense of others.

It will be a cold day in hell before I EVER recommend the Whitney. The property, my unit is over priced for what I am experiencing. There’s no storage, there’s constant construction, the garbage bins INSIDE the loading dock smell so bad you can smell it on the elevator up, NOT ONE LUXURY service at all and please don’t get me started with the lack of concierge services, parking garage, speed bumps and lack of any type of door service in the south tower.

I am neutral as there are much newer buildings right around the corner that are less expensive and also a lot more that are being built that are competitive in pricing or less expensive. I would recommend people look there first before coming here. This is a great building, but I would recommend they look around before they settle here as they can likely get better deals for less money in newer apartments.

With multiple next complexes being built within a few blocks; it will be best to wait to see the offerings and value for those complexes than leasing at The Whitney.

Parking elevator and garage security doors have been broken for over 6-8 months my car has been broken into twice in the last three months

See above comment. Besides those concerned that have not been addressed I would recommend.

Not happy with the residents of this community and the general disregard for neighbors. The service the building offers is good, but it doesn't reflect the what it should be given the rent amount.

PRICING plus upcoming construction sites planned for 2023.

I have already shared with multiple people relocating to the area not to consider the Whitney. When I explained the package set up and parking garage- they were immediately turned off and moved into a building down the street

Rent has gone up, but hardly any of that money has been put back in the building. The pool smells like urine from the dog park. The gym is dated. The elevators in the south tower are constantly broken. Every door throughout the building slams shut

I would not likely recommend it given the increase in rental rates. It’s not good value with what else is on the market and what’s coming/opening in next few months.

The increases in rent for renewals that I’ve heard about makes me hesitant to recommend to friends. The pee smell from the dog park is also gross and has not gotten much better. I was at the pool yesterday and every cabana had an overwhelming smell of pee.

The prices are skyrocketing and nice people are being abused to move out
