Save yourself the headaches and don't live here

First, there are late fees for everything no matter how many times you try to contact them BEFORE a late fee is incurred. $100 late fee for being AN HOUR late paying rent. A WHOLE EXTRA MONTH of rent as a late fee of you don't give them 60 DAYS notice that you're leaving. We called over and over about the 60 days notice policy. We had a roommate who was out of town and unable to make it back in time to sign the paperwork so we tried to call them to work something out and we were always told "she's out of the office right now she'll have to call you back". We turn in the paperwork late and they tell us they'll call us and let us know if they can do anything. We wait a week for a phone call that never came and when we did finally go into the office they said "You should have contacted us before it was due and maybe we could have done something, but now it's too late." They honestly don't care about you they just want your money. Which leads me to...Second, they NEVER answer the phone! On the off chance they do the person who answers never has a clue as to how to deal with your problem. Especially with maintenance issues. My kitchen light once went out while I was in the middle of cooking dinner. So I called because I was literally in the dark trying to cook dinner and apparently my light burned out at an inconvenient time because the lady who answered said, "Can;t you just call back in the morning?" All they can do is have someone call you back which will never happen. Third, the over all quality of the place both inside and out is probably a mix of old, dirty and noisy. The appliances are in terrible condition and need to be replaced immediately. 2 our of 4 of my stove burners haven;t worked the entire time I've lived here. The outside facades of the building are barely maintained despite the fact that they start mowing the lawn and doing work at 7am! Dead bugs and dirt cling to every surface of the building all year long. Fourth, the parking is horrible and the parking permits are a joke! They do nothing to control the noisier and more inconsiderate tenants who are yelling and playing music all night long and park across multiple parking spaces. I woke up one morning to find a huge pick-up truck parked horizontally across 3 parking spaces directly in front of the building. Y'know, where people who actually lived there would have liked to have parked. And finally, after all of that, they seriously raise the rent when it comes time to renew your lease! Why? It's still the same old thing?! They haven't improved anything to make it worth the increase! Why bother staying and paying more for something you already know is bad. Save yourself the headaches and stress and don't live here
