Very few people pick up their dog waste and it is all over the lawn surrounding the building and it smells terrible when the weather is warm.
The office staff is not very helpful or clear when I need something.
The new security system is more annoying than helpful.
The community itself is very loud and disrespectful of neighbors, like people leaving their dogs out on their balconies all day to bark.
Whenever there is a problem with the apartment, such as hot water being shut off for a day, for example, the most residents are given is a "sorry for the inconvenience" and I think that for something that happens that often that is that inconvenient there should be a little more done to compensate for that. I have had an overall negative experience living here, dealing with this company, and would not live here again.
The pool is not an enjoyable thing to share with my friends because there is this ridiculous limit on the number of guests I may have, unless I pay extra to have another 6 people to "rent" a cabana.
The fees and fines I have experienced living here are sometimes obnoxious for someone who lives within this complex.
The hallways are gross, they always smell terrible. Sometimes like animal waste, sometimes like mold, and sometimes like smoke.
The laundry machines don't work very well at all in the small dryers. I have to make sure if I need to use another floor that I don't use the floors with the stacked dryers because I'll have to dry my clothes twice.
My key card stopped working easter weekend and I had to rely on my roommate to let me into the building for 3 days for the office to be open again, what is someone supposed to do if they accidentally lose a key?
Having to come down to let guests in the elevator is another thing that I don't like about living here. It is pointless to have a system to buzz people in when you still have to go get them.
The elevators are slow and hard to use especially when someone is moving and there is only one running and for a few months they didn't always work and so people were getting stuck in them or unable to get to their floors because of buttons missing, buttons getting stuck, the elevator getting stuck and not moving. I have only been stuck in an elevator once while living here but know several people who've had more problems than just once.
I hate going down to the office for anything. I feel like I'm inconveniencing the people down there when I have to ask for something.

It is great for young people and spacious downtown.

The location is key.

With the new photo id's and only getting one key card per person on the lease, I feel like I'm back in the dorms. I've never lived anywhere that I couldn't have a spare set of keys for or needed an ID since I lived in Dorms 20 yrs ago.

i wouldn't wish this place on anyone.

It would depend on who it was. If it is someone in college, definitely.

Based off the cost of rent, I would suggest looking else where.

Feedback from a current renter

Based on price and location, it's fantastic.

Mainly the problems noted above and the constant worry of drunk kids that partied in the apartment (whether residence or guests) breaking or destroying something.

There are a lot of loud, obnoxious college students or college-aged people in my building. Every weekend I get woken up by people yelling off their balconies or in the parking lot where my balcony faces. Sometimes it is just people yelling to friends and sometimes its is people getting into a confrontation and yelling threats and profanities.

Very close to downtown, and the auraira campus.

Feedback from a current renter

I would warn them about the ever rising rent cost and encourage them to sign a two year lease off the bat.

Feedback from a current renter

I would tell people not to pay for garage parking because it is never functioning

Feedback from a current renter

I would recommend it to college students. The common areas of the apartment building are not always in great shape--often there are beer cans, it smells like marajuana, sometimes vomit is in the halls, and the fire alarm tends to go off in the middle of the night. It is not a place for adults or professionals to live.

It's expensive. The amenities do not work and create many inconveniences, it is extremely loud at night. The best thing about living here is the location.
