I wouldn't want to subject anyone on my behalf. I feel like my room mate and i could've found something better if we had a larger time frame but the Casas were convenient. I know apartments aren't the best place to live, but I would call it getting by for now.

This is a symptom of market conditions due to an extreme demand for apartments with a lack of supply. Would not be able to recommend the high rent. Plus - paying for all utilities? No. Very little storage space. In addition to the high rent and utilities, we have to rent a storage unit.

The rent is fairly high, considering it isn't in one of the more desirable places in San Diego.

We’re so glad to hear that you find our leasing staff to be friendly and professional, and that maintenance requests have been handled in a timely manner. On the other hand, we were disappointed to hear that you don’t feel your rental amount is reflective of the value you’re receiving. Although Mira Mesa might not seem highly desirable, it is in high demand because of the large employers located in the area and the proximity to freeway access. I would be embarassed to mislead them into thinking they will be getting a nice, well updated unit for the price. I think it would be easier to sell it to them if the prices were less, but at this rate, they would expect good quality at least.
We appreciate your comment regarding the rise in rental rates and we understand your frustration. Since 2013, many new jobs have been added in San Diego with very little housing development. This has caused a housing shortage and put pressure on the apartment industry. Many apartment communities across the county have had raise rents to levels that residents are not used to seeing. This is a symptom of market conditions due to the extreme demand for apartments with a lack of supply.
