Apartment Review from a Current Renter

Would - Great amenities (however, need to fix tv's and maintain fitness equipment better.) Location.
Would not - Cost, Management Personnel

I would recommend to my friends because that's one less tenant without manners. I wouldn't recommend to people who have lived in better managed building, because current status of the building management is not a first class.

If you know what you are getting, it is a great place. We used to live at a place that was like living at the Four Seasons. Living here is more like living at the W.

Concerns over price, community, etc., would need to be addressed.

It's a fantastic place to live overall. In terms of value, I may have expected more at this price point, for example, I would expect the carpet and flooring to be spotless at all times---it's usually a bit dirty. I would expect the elevators to work at all times---they a frequently out of order. I would expect the dog park to be spotless---I pick up after other people's dogs just as much as I do my own.

Apartment Review from an Independent Evaluator

This community is cutting edge and in an ideal location in downtown Los Angeles.

The leasing associate spoke in depth about her happiness and love for the community. She made my visit feel valued. The apartment home and community felt like home. Aside from everything being aesthetically impressive, the community was a welcoming and serene. I observed the residents at the community had a great sense of pride. The community offers by far the most impressive one bedroom apartment I have ever seen.

Beautful building in a great location that is fairly safe and friendly.

The amenities are never working. Something is always broken in the actual units. They were cheaply completed in construction. The same issues are never resolved instead they are reoccurring.

Maybe if you don't rent one of the most expensive units. If you're a student and want to stay on the first 10flrs.

There is much to love about the Apex, but when you factor the substandard design of the kitchen areas and the price, I believe my friends can get a better deal across the street at the Watermarke, which is a shame because that place is tacky and vegas-fabulous, but you can't compare what you can get for your money there for what you can get for the same money at the Apex. It's just a much better deal at the Watermarke. Sorry.

The best managed apt so far

I love entertaining my friends at home now!

Great location, great amenities, great people.

Its a great place to live and the common areas are great. The common areas are always clean and the staff has a great attitude.

Apex the One? or Apex the Ratchet?

From a Yelp reviewer:

Apex the One? or Apex the Ratchet?

I am a tenant of the Apex. I first want to apologize to the good staff at Apex: Jennifer, Angelica, Eric, Hector, Julie, Kyle, and the guys in security with special recognition to David, Marcel, and Noel. I appreciate you guys for trying to make the wrongs right of your manager Paul Chambers.

I need to make sure I give credit to the people that care about the tenants. Thank you for your service.

If you decide to move into the Apex, the tenants and staff mentioned above make this community worth living in. Everyone has a sense of friendship and neighbors act neighborly. However, you can only be as strong as your weakest link, which happens to be the property manager.

I have a problem with Paul and his lack of ownership and sense of urgency when it comes to issues in this building. I am tired of  hearing from Paul that I am married to the problems of this building because the owner does not want to pay to fix things. I'm not sure how that is my problem and it is not fair to say that I am renting this place "as is".

I cannot believe we are still having issues with water.
But, Paul likes to remind me that people pay in excess of $5k a month in rent and this is like a 5 star facility. If that is the case, hot water should not be an issue in this building. It has been open since November 2012, but is still an issue.

The way Paul communicates is not professional or tolerable. The best way I can describe his demeanor is that he seems mad that issues with the building are being brought to his attention. The sad thing about this, is that this feedback was provided to Paul, in person, regarding his tone and the perception that he really does not care. I thought he heard my concerns. His delayed response shows that he truly doesn't care. Instead, he defends the poor pattern of behavior with his maintenance manager Mario who seems to be the common denominator in the delayed handling of work order requests.

In summation, Paul lacks professionalism and sense of urgency. I could forgive him even if he was thoughtful enough to recognize his faults and humble himself to apologize for all the inconveniences I have had. Instead, I get this wacky self entitled email from him. I have the right to be upset. Not you.

It took Lincoln Property 3 weeks to respond to my complaint about the issues  with management.  I thought by reaching out to them to advise them the concerns surrounding the property and maintenance manager would be a priority in a building that prides itself on this "elite" status nonsense. I fully understand the lack of urgency because it coming from the top down.

If you are moving here, the community (the tenants and the staff I mentioned with positive recognition) are the ones that make this building worth living in.

I really did not want to get on here again. But, I was left with no choice.

I did sign a new lease because the prior unit had a lot of issues and moving to a new unit  was supposed to be a new beginning. I guess I like sociableness of the building enough to stay. The manager needs to be on a performance development plan.

That  is all I have to say for now.....

A great, fresh, new, fun place to live and socialize!

I really like living here because of it's prime location, brand new amenities and homes! Friendly neighbors and staff! Also great because you have assigned spaces and guest parking!
