Primarily because the apartment needs an interior upgrade (Kitchen, Appliance, Cabinets, etc) for the rent that is being paid for. I would be dishonest to my friends if i dont give them this heads up when I try to refer them.

Parking is never available! It's the worst place I've ever lived at parking wise.

Parking concerns are extremely rare in our community, especially since we offer almost 300 garage parking spaces. We also have almost 100 assigned covered parking spaces.
If you would like to transfer to an apartment home with an attached garage, please come visit the office & we can discuss transfer policies with you. It sounds like you may have a neighbor that has many visitors parking in the resident parking area. We can monitor this area & ask residents to have their visitors park in areas that offer more spaces.

Children in streets are extremely disruptive and a serious hazard, we are forced to negotiate around on a daily basis.

I hate living with bugs, being bitten every night by insects crawling through the window sills. The sound of water crashing against the windows for hours during watering. The heads should be turned so they do not strike the building and windows.

I will gladly and have already recommended this apartment to others. I am very pleased and will not hesitate to bring my friends/contacts here. The excellent Elementary and Middle school seem to appeal to many of my contacts.

Lack of concern to resident's problems
First things first- all the appliances - at least the ones in my apartment are old and falling apart. My Dishwasher has rusted screws, missing wheels on rails, broken rails and leaks water. I was once getting an electric shock from the burner. They somehow fixed it - there is no electric shock now but the burner gets too hot even when set at low temperature. I was advised to tell the maintenance man that there is an infinite switch that needs to be fixed. (You all know about infinite switches don't you). My AC temperature controller is from 80's and $200+ electric bills are common.
If you have a clogged toilet in a 2 bedroom apartment, they suggest it is not an emergency and "advice" us to use the second toilet. 3 days later when the clogged toilet is rotten stinking - some one shows up.
None of the maintenance problems are an emergency. Everything will be taken care of when they get time (which is usually 3+ days). I was advised that for quicker service I need to show up at the Leasing office and talk to them in person.
Roaches and other insects are a common thing in almost all apartments.
I guess they are taking us residents for granted as we have kids going to Plano schools and have no choice but stay.

The only concern we have at the moment is that the community doesn't have a shelter to hide from in case a tornado strikes. We believe that it would be a great idea to consider building a shelter.
